Snow Fall Mirage

While I was studying at Lakehead University, my sister was studying the Severn Ojibwa language. I was absolutely fascinated by the beauty of the language and the tonal quality of the sounds. One evening as we travelled home together I thought it would be wonderful to write a song in this lovely language.
The following day I gathered up my poetry and music I had prepared for one of my assignments and I asked the First nations instructor if he would be willing to translate the words for my song.
This song’s theme is about how our steps we take on the earth are often in the very same places that many people before us have walked. Thus, the wisdom of other generations can guide us through our pathway in life.
